Children’s Knitwear

Clare’s children’s knitwear for boys and girls is of the highest quality and all handmade by Clare Stagg herself, based in the UK. All of her children’s clothes are well made and affordable, and she would like to think they are some of the best on the market. All the woollen clothes are made to measure and come in many different colours and styles. Here are just a few examples of her work.

The designs

  • Rabbit with bobble tail and embroidered carrots or flowers – Mid-blue, pale blue, pink or white. Handwashing advisable. Surcharge of £5 because of embroidery.
  • Welly Boots, Umbrella and Rainbow – Navy or red. Motif too large for cardigan. Machine washable wool or cotton.
  • Flower Cardigan – Navy/bright or white/pastel. Machine washable wool or cotton. Caterpillar or butterfly buttons.
  • Rainbow Striped Jumper – Machine washable cotton. A surcharge of £2. It takes ages to make!
  • Tractors Round the Bottom – Jumper or cardigan. Navy/red or green, red/navy. Machine washable wool or cotton.
  • Penguin Cardigan – White/black. Machine washable wool or cotton. Penguin buttons.
  • Strawberry Cardigan – Navy, white or cream. Machine washable wool or cotton. Strawberry buttons.
  • Mouse Cardigan – Pink or pale blue, machine washable wool or cotton. Mouse buttons.
  • Chick Cardigan – Navy. Machine washable wool or cotton. Chick buttons.
  • Frog Cardigan – Navy/green. Machine washable wool or cotton. Frog buttons.
  • Teddy Cardigan – Navy/yellow, pink/white, pale blue/white. Machine washable wool or cotton. Teddy buttons.
  • Clown Tunic – Navy/rainbow colours. Machine washable wool or cotton.
  • Anchor Cardigan – Navy/red or red/navy. Machine washable wool or cotton. Gold metallic anchor buttons.
  • Rearing Horse – Machine washable wool or cotton. Any colour.
  • Killer Whale – Works best in lighter colours with a black whale. Machine washable wool or cotton.
  • Dinosaurs – Navy or red with rainbow colours are most popular but any colours are possible, e.g. girlie pink. Machine washable wool.

Baby blanket

Striped one side, plain the other, with hand crochet edging. Your own choice of colours, e.g. rainbow, pinks, blues. 24″ x 36″ £25.00

Hoodie

Child’s hooded jacket, striped or plain. Your choice of colours in machine washable wool or cotton. £25.00

Buttons

Here is just a small selection of the buttons that she uses: yellow bear, strawberry, penguin, mouse, green frog, caterpillar and chick.

Yarns, styles, sizes and prices

  • Yarns: samples can be sent for you to see before ordering any item (100% machine washable wool / 100% machine washable cotton)
  • Styles: Crew neck jumper / V neck jumper / V neck cardigan / Round neck cardigan
  • Sizes: Please order according to the age of the child
  • Prices: Jumper £20 (plus surcharges if applicable, see above). Cardigan £22.50 (plus surcharges if applicable).
  • Bobble hats are £10.00 each.
  • UK postage and packing £5.00 (overseas rates on application).

Please be advised postage fees may change in the future due to postal companies increasing their charges.
